Goin' Camping!

  1. So i'm going camping in a few weeks and i'm planning on bringing bud. We are going to a place where you have to reserve a site but I doubt i'll have too much of a problem with smoking. My smoking options are: bowl(spool), bubbler, joint/spliff, blunt, Or a combo. Any suggestions from people who have done it before? Also, anything fun to do while camping and high would help too.

  2. I just enjoy burning a joint down while camping. Seems ritualistic. Blunts are very nice too.

But ripping the shit out of a bong in your tent can be fun as well.

As for shit to do while youre high and camping..

It all depends on the surrounding environment. Do something with the environment.

    And definately make some smores.

  3. id say bong is the worst option due to lack of portability etc.. pipes, joints, and blunts are the way to go! camping is the shit! enjoy dude

  4. depends on the place you are camping..if its not crowed you can easily use a bong.. if its a common place that several people camp, the bong is unecessary trouble...

cook with a fire, take amazing nature photos, trip in the woods or the beach(thats always nice to do...)^_^

  5. Camping and smoking go hand in hand. Shit, smoking and outdoors goes hand in hand.

  6. I always use a spoon when I'm camping. Joints can break or get squished and bongs...well bongs are kind of a hassle if your camping. HAVE FUN!:hello:

  7. Well, if you have to reserve a site, there's probably going to be rangers there to enforce it. Id leave the bong at home. I do a lot of camping/hiking and I usually bring a small metal pipe that can be dropped/stepped on etc with out breaking. Another thing to think about is that if there are a lot of people there, or rangers patrolling, you may need to go for a "nature walk" to light up. Carrying a bong around is asking for trouble. I generally try to take as little glass as possibly when camping or backpacking. I tend to be rough on my gear, and glass breaks to easily. Always bring papers as a backup plan. I often keep a pack of top cigarette tobacco in my vehicle with papers inside. That way papers can't be seen as "paraphernalia".

  8. bush cooking.

Lots of good recipes and methods. Occupies a lot of time too.

  9. heres where i camp...

Hawaii more than anything reminded me of many areas of Mexico as well as the Hawaiian people did with their wonderful attitudes .

In Hawaii the best places are not in the heavy tourist trap places like on the island of Oahu's Waikiki and Honolulu or Maui's Lahaina area . While these places are not really a camping experience to enjoy they have their place to visit if your a hotel type traveler .

Me I take the path less traveled :smoking: If I have to visit Maui I hang around Hana way out there and far away from Lahaina . If on the island of Oahu I head for the north shore :

  11. nice shots! always wanted to go to hawaii...

    oh ya, great spot!
we've had timber wolves come into camp, with in 20 yards. moose swim across the lake right in front of us. and caught huge largemouth bass.

  12. Thanx Master Skunk , seeing that shot of ( I assume ) you rolling one made me think of rolling doobies just inside my tent as a rain hit .

Something soothing in a gentle Hawaiian rain to smoke doobie by and just watch what plays out in front of your tent . I move to the Big Island Hawaii for 7 years and I plan to to return to live . Presently I live in the opposite type of climate . I live in a desert ecosystem that's part of the Mojave desert . Really a nice place 9 months out of the year then 3 months of heat ( June through September ) averaging 105F to 110F it's not a surprise to feel it hit 120F . That why I want to return back to Hawaii with a mean average temp of 70 to 75 from October to May and 74F to 79F in the summer months . Nights year lolng can range from 60F to 70F and sometimes when the twin volcanos ( Mauna Kea & Mauna Loa ) at 13770' get snow the nights can get around 50F to 55F  , that's cold for a Hawaiian .

  13. The wife and I went to Oahu for our honeymoon. We got a hotel in Waikiki, but I'm not much of a city person, so we rented a Jeep and headed to the North Shore. We met some people there, and ended up staying with them most of the week. When I go back I want to backpack the big island. Beautiful place and nice people. I'd heard the N. Shore was full of local A-holes, but we had no problems at all. Everyone we hung out with were friendly (and had some kind buds).

  14. Hello JacK :

You are obviously a person who showed respect there and also your more than likely an easy going person who attracts like wise people to your self as well .

Ass hole types are everywhere Hawaii no exception but as I mentioned there are people like yourself that can spot the difference and head away from trouble and head towards something or some one too that's cool and mellow . When I first moved to Hawaii I spent 2 weeks on Oahu and headed towards the north shore and like you was invited by a super couple of local Hawaiians to stay at there place . It's nice to read that still is the case on Oahu's north side . I bet you had a blast with the local stuff :D , man is that the shit or what ! :hello::smoking:

The Big Island's got what you want in backpacking and then some , you could spend a life time trying to camp as much of it as possible and never cover it all on the Big Island . I camped Oahu , Kauai , Maui , & The Big Island Hawaii , hands down The Big Islands the best for that .

Their are many Hawaiian sayings of this and that of each island one that is popular is this from Maui :

Maui noka oi = Maui , nothing is better .

    On the Big Island :

Maui noka oi but beeeg island mo bettahh :hello:

Have a great time there I did , need a point or two I will give you what I can if it's helpful in directions there for some of the best places to see and camp .

    Aloha
