I'm buying a black leaf bong with an 18.8 mm joint, I wanted to know what kind of screen I should get, I wasn't sure what size I can/should put in but I was looking at these. You don't really NEED a screen on a bong, since it already has a water filter But the regular glass mines, these, should be perfectly fine.
Okays but what size would be good? Like would a 14.4 mm fit in my 18.8mm? And what's the smallest size that can fit?
The only difference between the two is 2mm, so it would depend on how big your bowl was. I would just get some of each, just to be safe. But with any glass screen, it makes the bowl smaller. So I would just put a metal screen in it; it isn't all that pretty, but it works better than any glass. It prevents 100% of ash from coming through, while the glass seamines only prevent about 80% Also, steel screens are super cheap.
I mean I don't smoke much so I'm not sure but with a 18.8 mm joint (which from research seems to be big) would some of it fall through into the water? wasting weed which is not something I want to do.
the joint size doesn't matter the hole in the bowl head is what makes the difference and usually there not very big so you should be fine
OP I would strongly suggest you not do this, you just spent your money a an all Glass on Glass bong, putting a metal screen in the bowl makes the GonG pointless. The screen will add a metal flavor, plus why put that ugly thing in your pretty new bong?
