Glass joint sizes

    First post, but I've been lurking. I have a syn that appears to be roughly 14mm. Does anyone know exact sizing of standard syns, and would a slide labeled 14.5mm fit? Or is my only option to measure the downstem opening exactly?

    Pretty sure 14mm = 14.5mm. I think they just shorthand 14.5 as 14, and 18.8 as 18.

    Thanks, I'm new owning a waterpipe and all these sizes are throwing me for a loop.
