As I was transplanting my 1 inch sproutlings to bigger pots I noticed I had removed the white thick bottom part to one of my sprouts. it has and inch missing. it still has part of its root. But will it survive? I gave it plenty of water and good soil. The other baby root is still connected to the seed. But the ones root i cut off had fully emereged out of the seed thats why that part of the root was longer. white and thicker. Please let me know.
Yup. you can only hope. Why did you have to transplant a 1" sprout? I wait until it has four or five nodes.
I've lost some roots well transplanting also.. nothing happened tho you don't want to mess with those roots. The water root that goes searching down for water is the one you want to be careful with..
I wanted to wait longer but the fact I had em both in a small sprouting container encouraged me to transplant other wise they would have tangled each others roots together.. I hope the new soil helps strengthens the root . The part of the root that's left looked like it had mini ones growing out of it so I hope for the best for the little purple sproutling.
That's why I'm worried the part of the root I cut off absorbs the most water.. If it had several roots And I cut off one root I wouldn't be worried. I'm afraid that it dies it will be a waste of a FEMALE. It looks like such nice hairy purp sprout. The other one is simple.
i've gotten to where i just even leave em in jiffys until there a little bigger, or i see roots near the sides..
With all we do we forget its a weed... yes it has lovely flowers but it is a weed designed to overcome. So when in doubt, water, wait, and blaze that shit babee.
