Germination with cup of water

I'm wondering the same thing.

 

All I did was get a petri dish (anything small and clear with a cap will work. I put about 6 layers of warm, moist paper towles on the bottom, and put the seed in, then put like 2 layers over top and kept it under a regular lamp all day and mine germinated fine.

 

Actually they need NO LiGHT AT ALL. TO germinate, using they classic tupperware with paper towel and covering it is the best way to do it. TO keep 'em warm just put it the back of your computer screen, and it'll keep a good tempature. And for the lights, keep them away from it, total darkness prefered, and you'll get a better succes rate.

 

they will sprout if you keep them in a glass of water.

you need it to be in totaly darkness and at the temperature of the room and give it like 24h to 3 days!

 

So I can put them in like a bottle of water and just let it float in there?

 

if after a night they still float they are dead

 

You know it can go up to a week too, in rare cases...
