okay total newbie so plese bear with me. okay when the seed cracks and the tail begins to poke out do u then place it in soil? or do you wait until the taill is almost all the way out? they placee it in soil tail down
You can plant it once the "tail"(aka the tap root) has fully exited the shell casing. Place the seed with the tap root down in the soil. I normaly start out with a little party cup. The smaller cup drys out faster causing the plant to send out more roots in search of water. This will give you a jump start on root growth that will greatly help you later. Make sure you have drainage holes at the bottom. All so water the soil prior to planting the seed. Simply transplant to a larger pot when its out grown its cup.
