Germany remembers what happens when you trade security for freedom (or at least partially, Germany has some pretty oppressive laws as well but still this is positive.

View this link as well if you want to know what the government sees.

  2. It's crazy how little coverage this is getting in the States. Well it's not actually.. Keeping the population dumb-ed down and blind. The Guardian newspaper (widespread source of all the leaks, who Snowden is giving the info to) is blocked on US military networks.

Good job at doing your utmost to make the US the laughing stock of the world, Obama Administration.

  3. I was going to ask if anyone got word of this in the states.

I was coincidentally in Germany when Obama made his visit.
There was a big protest and people had signs saying "yes we scan". It was awesome.

    Haha, right on!

Not sure about the American state of affairs on the matter but here in the UK it seems the Guardian is the only news outlet giving this the coverage it deserves. Nada on the BBC site.

  5. ah i should clarify i wasn't actually near the protests, but they did show it either on German news or Al Jazeera english. I can't remember. It was awesome though.

I doubt it was on any major American news network.
