Here are some pictures of the grow room I've been working on for a while now. The walls and ceiling are insulated with R-13 fiberglass batt then covered with 6 mil plastic taped at all seams. On top of that is 3/8 OSB painted with a flame retardant coating. Finally the entire room is lined with Reflectix for the additional radiant insulation and its reflective qualities. The floor has 1.5 inches of rigid insulation covered with underlayment then peel and stick vinyl. The door is weather stripped to make the room as air tight as possible.

I'll be using a Kind K5 XL1000 LED grow light. Climate control will be handled by a window unit A/C when it's hot and an oil filled radiant electric heater when it's cold. Since there will be no outside air exchange I will be using a CO2 generator (not yet mounted).

The wall cabinet will be equipped with a small grow light inside where I will get seedlings started. I also plan to take cuttings and start clones inside the cabinet when the first grow goes into flower. 377965488_IMG_0175.JPG 377965488_IMG_0177.JPG 377965488_IMG_0176.JPG 377965488_IMG_0178.JPG 377965488_IMG_0181.JPG 377965488_IMG_0182.JPG 377965488_IMG_0183.JPG

  2. Nice friend!

  3. Lookin' good captain!

How will you manage the humidity?

  4. I will be using a Blumat self-watering system with a large reservoir. For humidity control I have a Hisense dehumidifier with a built in pump to send the collected water back to the watering system reservoir. IMG_2487.JPG 401125840_IMG_0184.JPG

  5. That’s how you do it! Great looking setup. I’m in the process of shopping for a portable air conditioner and dehumidifier. Right now, I am leeching cold air from my central A/C, and when it is hot outside, I am freezing out everyone in the house trying to keep temps in my grow tent under 80 degrees. So, I am envious of your setup! Looks like you thought of everything.

I’m subscribed — can’t wait to see what happens on your grow.
