That section is filled with reposted threads. there is at least 4 black ops threads on the front page right now, and probably 2 or 3 "best stoner game" topics. It makes it harder for gamers on here to meet up when everyone is split up between 15 threads for the same game. it would be really helpful if there was a sticky that listed all the big threads. there at least needs to be a sticky for gamer tag exchanges. i like the idea; but i think your list of games is TOO LONG. i'd say jsut have the most popular ones stickied (blackops, wow, starcraft, and battlefield) otherwise the list of the stickies will be way too long.
all of the threads i listed are reposted often, or are good threads that get buried under other reposted nonsense. Some of these listed are not topics that are constantly reposted, but are great discussions that just get buried a few pages back because the section doesnt see a lot of traffic. i could trim a few of the games off the list for sure though, but these are all of the threads that i think really make up the true......... heartbeat of gamers heartbeat....eeeeeww...that was lame
Why not just one sticky of links? Maybe a "what game do you play" sort of thing with links to the best threads for the most popular games? IDK...just a though as I don't frequent that section...
I don't think we need to have every popular thread stickied, but I think it would be a good idea to sticky a couple of the most popular threads and maybe sticky a directory of popular threads in the forum, just like Jdahms OP. Looks like RMJL already has some plans in mind for this, though. Jdahms, thanks for pointing it out and letting us know. I don't think many of us are in the Gamer's forum that much, so it helps to have someone saying "hey, just so you know, this is a problem here". Looks like you might be able to help us get it sorted out.
Maybe I don't know what you mean, but that's exactly what i was suggesting Don't see the harm in listing every popular game since as soon as the main thread for a game is off the front page someone who doesnt frequent the section makes a new thread, which then pushes other popular threads off the front page and the cycle continues. reposted threads really divide the regulars and the people who only post there occasionally. thanks guys
