first of all earthworms are not a-sexual, second if they were mating it would look more like this. earthworms are hermaphrodites btw so there are no males or females not sure if this thread was just a joke, which im sure it was, but im bored anyways
Whatever, I was disgusted by their lewd behavior. There is an area in my woods where I haul and dump leaves every fall and let them rot. There are years and years of decaying leaves in this pile and all you have to do it dig down a few feet into the pile to see some rich black humus just teeming with compost worms. They are even more plentiful in the holes where I will soon plant my weed. The manure, blood meal and bone meals really attracts them. The fastest way to kill these beneficial creatures is to dump chemical ferts on them!
Worms are hermaphrodite, they have both male and female organs, but are not self-fertile, it takes 2 to tango. Two worms together will be swapping sperm ! Lovely.
