Dubstep is fail in my opinion. It's monotonously repetitive, unoriginal and in the words of Peter Griffin, it insists upon itself. 'Nuff said.
I don't like much dubstep, but.. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaJ1psp6Q3I]Liquid Stranger - Aftershock - YouTube[/ame] everything on this EP is enjoyable to me
Not gonna lie producing GOOD beats ( rap/hip hop/good dubstep) is hard as FUCK these are both amazing remixes IMO [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY2ABTN581w]MGMT - Kids (Datsik Remix) - YouTube[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1q84ceFedo]Coki - Burnin' - YouTube[/ame]
I have learned something from this thread, "don't exhibit dislike for dubstep". It seems everyone takes it personally if they fall under the category of people who enjoy it. It's not my thing and I don't consider it real music... That's my opinion. I don't mind that other people like it. I just have had bad experiences with the crowds associated with dubstep. Not everyone is like that though. I just wish it hadn't been integrated into my favorite festis.
I'd also like to add Ellie Goulding wouldn't be shit without dubstep remixes. Just sayin. EDIT: to those who don't like the WUBWUBWUBAHHHWUUBUWUBWUB type dubstep, try listening to coki or benga, its oldschool shit and its much more chilled out.
idk, with every other genre I can see talent, except for here. a few of my friends are dubstep djs around here and they joke about how easy it is to please the crowd because they dont really know shit. They are all really talented djs but now they have all turned dub because its the only thing kids will show up for.
meh, and i have bad experiences with phish crowds. diffrent strokes ya know? and god knows what will happen if you say you think phish or the dead suck to those who enjoy them (for the most part)... usually something along the lines of "bah, you don't know real music you're nothing but a custy fuck" reaggae- i dunno man the only festy i was at this summer that i'd say was really dominated by edm was EF, waka had it's fare share but to say it was dominated was really a stretch... what fests were you referring to? alls i'm saying is hating on either end is really doing nothing to seal this divide i'm seeing on the lots and i think it's fuckin bullshit myself, imo these fests are (among other things) about togetherness no matter what you're into or who you are everybody ragin side by side to whatever happens to float their boat... none of this exclusion 'this or that should have its seperate festival' bullshit. and don't get me wrong i'm not sayin dubstep crowds aren't fuckin shady a lot of the time, but fuck man i've seen furthur crowds just as bad. man... 'everybody, try to be nice to everybody else. ok?'- jerry 'nuff said.
yea thats a pretty chill track, doesnt have the overwhelming womp womp or wub wub, i can dig it. heres one dub track ive always liked, the first 2 mins moreso before the heavier glitchy noises, similar to coki, reggae remixes which i can dig, that dont have fart noises. yea i definitely no, and love original reggae dub like king tubby or something, but its just gotten out of hand with the mashups and womp imo

I am not the one getting violent at festis. I try to not ruin the vibe and before dubstep took over they were really chill festivals... Now it's all about raging and club drugs.
No, fuck you my friend [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8mvM94Iuv0]Exponaut - E621 - YouTube[/ame]
