Hey all! Didn't see a bug identification thread. Generally speaking, I google first, kill later. So... I found a couple of these little critters on my euphorbia somona. Are they Friend or Foe?! If anyone wants to throw up other picts for identification, please do! Peace! P-
Patanjali Chunk is involved in the Master Gardener Program in Washington and he often works in the office where people bring photos, captured or dead critters in for identification or a possible fix. Hopefully he'll stop by - he knows far more than the rest of us and has access to a database in order to make a positive call. Ain't my speciality - LOL!
Although I am no expert, i found this. Try googling green assassin bug, see if that is the correct ID. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reduviidae
Hell yeah! Expert or not, that is it (green assasin bug/Zelus)! Now I know why I google first and kill later! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zelus_%28genus%29 Thank you so much! P-
