HOUSTON - NBA sources told FOX 26 Sports the Houston Rockets and the City of Houston landed the NBA All-Star Game in 2013. The game will be played at Toyota Center on Feb. 17, 2013. NBA All-Star week will be Feb. 15-17. The Rockets and Toyota Center also hosted the game in 2006. The Rockets and the city had initially targeted the All-Star game in 2014, but changed their focus to getting the game a year earlier. This will be the third time the NBA All-Star Game has come to Houston. It was also held in the Astrodome in 1989. This will be the sixth time since the NBA-ABA merger in 1977 that the NBA All- Star Game will be played in Texas. Rockets officials have not been available for comment.
