I started out using compost my father had made, we have three large bins of it in the backyard, before i started growing, i baked the soil and figfured that any microscopic parasites and pests, would have been taken care of. I developed a fly problem over the last few days, theyve been randomly showing up, a few flies at a time, last time i opened my closet I saw 3 sitting on my plant tops starting at me, and proceeded to kill them. The only thing I can think of is when I let the soil cool down it was outside, and now flies could be crawling out of my soil? So if anyone has had a similar problem with flies, and they know of any potential risks to my plants, or any problems they may cause, id appreciate your help also if you could help me exterminate the little f*ckers, id like that too
