Flush?

  1. is it about time to start flushing her out to prepare for harvest?


    about 10% hairs on the main cola are red. and about 40-50% are red on the sides

  2. The hair colors are not necessarily the indicator of maturity, it is the trichomes (crystals). Get a mini microscope from Radio Shack for about 12 bucks: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2179604 and check the color of the trichomes. If clear, the plant is not ready to harvest. You want them to be cloudy with the tips beginning to turn amber for optimum maturity.   3. chunk is right. you have to check the trichomes to predict when to harvest.
     
  4. thank you. I really need one of those now. I was debating getting one but my bud looks like it'll need to be harvested in sections. so i'll need to be certain when i do.
