Hi everyone, I PHd my water with 200ppm of Plant Magic Hydro Grow & PH has gone from 5.8 to 7.0 in 24 hours, I have failed it back down to 5.8 again to see what happens next. Is this typical ?
Was it 5.8 from tap? Also because of the airstone in your bucket ph will fluctuate but that's a huge jump are you sure your ph meter was correctly calibrated? I know with my dwc I usually have to check it every other day to ensure its within it's meters
If you are using hydroton as your grow medium it is normal for the first few weeks, just keep lowering the water level with the roots and it will even out. Hydroton raises the ph if its not rinsed thoroughly. Hope this helps good luck!
