Hey folks, this is my first real grow. I had an indoor CFL grow back in high school but my parents destroyed it because, at that point it was still illegal. I also had a weird little bonsai outdoor grow which was destroyed as well and for the same reason. So fast forward about 15 years, weed's been legal since 2016, I've got my own place and finally managed procure some seeds locally (I don't have any cards that any of the seed sites accept). So what I have are two Panama Red, three Afghan Kush and three Big Bud. These were all regular seeds and the males will not be exterminated because I want them all to have a little weed orgy so I never have to worry about trying to hunt down seeds again. The soil used is Fox Farm Happy Frog and they have all been fertilized with a light dusting of Azomite. If you look at the photos of the entire enclosure, the Kush are in the front, the Panama are the two in the back and the Big Bud are still in Solo cups. My primary question is why is that one Big But plant refusing to sprout new leaves? Those big bud plants are weird. Every one is totally different...
Looks great man. I can relate to the first half of your story. I had a few plants killed by my parents as well. Very frustrating but what could we do? lol. Looks like a good start to your grow. I saw a flyer for a seed swap/clone swap in MA but I can't find it anymore. That's the closest legal state to me.
I’m growing outside in MA as well. Started mine inside and their at about 3 ft now I’m the garden. Mine are I unfemenized as well but I will absolutely be culling the males, with prejudice. Seeds are too ez to get these days. I’ve done countless shipments from European seed banks with zero issues. If you really want seeds buy some Colloidal silver spray and make your own femenized seeds
What seed banks did you use and what kind of card? The places I've tried wont take a visa debit card, a mastercard credit card or a discover credit card... I had given up on it until i got hooked up with a few seeds from a guy at work. He said that he has a credit card specifically for seed procurement. Cant recall what kind it was and i don't honestly feel like opening a credit card account just for weed seeds...
Now that you mention this I do know of friends who couldn’t order with their cards. I have usaa which being a military oriented bank is used to charges showing up all over the world. They do have a lot of American based seed companies . I know mephisto can ship seeds stateside if you’re into autos. My go to seed bank is the vault which is based out of the UK
Update time, and a couple questions. As you guys can see, they are growing like, well, weeds. The 3 indicas are growing like crazy with the panamas right behind. Everything looks good with those, but as you can see from the pics, there is some weird creasing on some of the big fan leaves on 2 of the indicas. Is this indicative of some problem? The two plants affected by this are 100% healthy otherwise. One of the panamas has a bit of leaf edge curling going on, but it doesnt seem to be negatively effected. My biggest quandry is with the littlest of the 3 little Big Bud plants. It never grew past the first two leaves and now appears to be sprouting a growth node below the initial two cotyledons. Its fucking weird. Almost like a genetic defect or something. What gets me is that when i transplanted it, the solo cup was completely full of roots. Has anybody seen anything like this?
