Hi guys. This is my first grow, I used a card box, I coated it in plastic and then I glewed some aluminuim paper. I am using 2 20w CFL's equivalent to 200w of normal light so... let's see how it comes out(so far so good).
    Comentaries or advice are apreciated.

I had to delete your photos as they were way to large for our forum format (They were 3200 x 2400). Please re-size them to 640 x 480 pixels (or there about) so they fit in the window. Otherwise, welcome to GC.....Chunk

  2. I can't see the pics but get the aluminum out of there. Creates hot spots. You're better off with mylar or something similar. Or you can do what I did and paint the inside a flat white.

  4. OneDay what lights do you use? I think it's kind of good because the box is not to small (a bit large in my opinion) and the CFL's are not hot and if the box heatens a bit it won't pass 26 27 degrees Celsius. What do you think?

  5. I'm running CFLs. You can see my box in the link in my sig. Right now I am running six 23w CFLs, but I just built a new light bar and will be adding three more of those same CFLs. The thing you have to worry about with foil is the air pockets underneath the foil creating hot spots. Regardless, it's your box, your grow, I'm just passing along what I've learning through research and my first grow. Best of luck.

  6. Heya The Dogs,

Thanks for re-sizing your pics. It really helps the members to be able to view them better.

  7. I would suggest putting two fans inside it. One on top of the card box pulling air out above the lights and one inside of it circulating the air around the leafs. The sizes of the fan should not have to be large i belive, seeing you mostly just want to change out the air to get fresh air. I would assume closed of cardboxes holding moisture a bit to well, creating a possible humidity problem, and yo do not want mold in the walls sort of speak, so good air change is important.

Make a light trap, just put a box outside a box ontop of the hole/fan with some holes cut on the opposite sides of the boxes. Seeing its not much head room you should maybe LST it. Maybe use some wide tubs rather then pots as containers giving larger roots systems horizontally. Roots will die if left in light for 2 weeks or something, so lightproof the containers. Cut some passive air intakes at the bottom and light proof them as well.

  9. thanks for the advice anon4life i will buy another container as soon as possible. And about the humidity... it is not a problem believe me. And for the fresh air, i open the box once/twice a day. Anyway thank you again,

  10. Also, don't use clear cups. I have never used them, so I don't know from experience how detrimental they are. But I just know from all of my research that roots hate light so it's better to keep them in non-clear cups. Otherwise, best of luck. The little babies look good thus far!
