  1. From all the things the America government has done and Americans haven't rioted over..i'm pretty sure the only thing that would cause rioting is gun laws, take away there guns and all hell will break lose. :D

I'm a pessimist to! in fact i'm very pessimistic, usually because good things always go wrong, with me the bottle isn't half full it isn't half empty..it's half broken :p

  2. No kidding. America has passed up some prime rioting opportunities... Shame sorta

  3. You best believe that if they fuck with my internets its gonna be raining Molotov cocktails

  4. They will never pass down the opportunity to shoot someone :p good luck with that, may as well buy a fighter jet from Russia or something :D

  5. please everyone; this seriously takes less than a minute. Maybe 5 - 10 if you want to read through everything to get more informed.

  6. Well the day is almost over. I can't find any details on whether or not it passed or anything. Anybody know?

  7. So the government is why we can't have anything nice...

  8. This is very scary....

I signed the fuck out of that. All the sheep in this country are too busy downing high fructose corn syrup (poison), keeping up with the kardashians, etc. and don't realize wtf is going on. Our rights are literally being stripped away from us. I'm starting to believe shit is really going to go down next year....things are not looking good. The founding fathers of this country would die if they rose from the dead and saw what is happening.

Then if this bill passes everyone rages. Well, let's prevent this from happening, DUH!

In the county above me a friend told me that it is now federal law for police to randomly search your car (with k9s) just because. They don't even need a reason!!! What the fuck is going on!!!

  9. I second this question.

    Da fuck is the results?

  10. fuck censorship

FUCK this. They just tried passing one of these things a couple weeks ago... the internet blacklist or some such shit. We need to have a way that people are more directly involved with the national government instead of these old greedy worthless fucks we call congressmen. These fuckers are shameless too, they even tried calling one a child pornography bill, just flat out lying to try and get people to think its good.

I'm starting to think more and more that 2012 is real.....just has nothing to do with the mayans

  12. What??? what do you mean the county above you? and what exactly do you mean? like if you get pulled over for speeding, broken tail light, loud music, anything..... then for no reason police HAVE to search you? What if they don't have a K9.

When did this shit start? have any more info?

  13. They don't HAVE to search (if I'm thinking of the same situation).. but they're searching people for no reason with dogs. They've even set up checkpoints where they check everybody who comes through.

There was a thread about some state going crazy with K9 units.. I THINK it was Ohio maybe? I can't remember for sure

  14. i love how absolutely nobody in this thread understands this law at all. lol. quit overreacting. a useless bill really. It sounds like all they are really do is screwing around with the DNS servers on all US isp's which really does nothing other than cause inconvenience.

A US federal law can't exactly do anything more than be a pester to the majority of websites like the pirate bay and other file sharing sites if they even use US advertising and financial services at all.

Every time any sort of change or addition to copyright law is suggested, people start posting threads about how it "could shut down FB and YouTube". It just seems like scare tactics designed to make people vote against a bill that's actually targeting intentional piracy.

You can look at any law ever, pretend it never existed before today, and then come up with random scare stories about how it "might" be used wrongly. Look, here's how it would work if stealing was just being outlawed.... "guys, this new law says that taking an item without the owner's consent will be illegal now, and you'll be arrested for it. Vote against the law, because my brother and I often borrow jackets from each other without asking."

The current anti-piracy laws covering websites have never ever ever ever, even for one day, shut down FB or YouTube and I bet that the new bill doesn't either. All it does is give the courts more power against websites that are proven to be used only to profit from piracy. They already have the power to seize website domain names where its possible (something that's never happened to FB or YouTube btw) but blocking DNS resolution means that sites hidden behind a maze of Chinese proxy registrations won't be immune to copyright law.

it doesn't seem like it will do much damage to the biggest filesharing sites, but potentially it limits the number of new sites that are able to gain a foothold in the USA.

Who is saying that it is going to shut down Facebook or Youtube? I haven't heard that claim a single time o_O

And there's no telling HOW it will be used. It's likely that they'll enforce the law reasonably by law most of the time.. but if they want to fill a personal agenda and this law could help them do that, you can bet your life they will. It basically opens a door for them to shut a lot of shit down over trivial matters. Call me paranoid if you want but we've seen it happen time and time again.

There are already copyright laws. If they are worried about copyright infringement they can enforce current laws. And in my opinion, it's really not their goddamn place to worry if somebody is pirating a Warner Bros movie, it's WB's place. Let WB and the people who own the hosting site sort that shit out, not the government.. unless it goes to court obviously. There doesn't need to be any government intervention before that because I feel like copyright infringement should be viewed more as a civil matter than criminal (in MOST cases, anyway. I know sometimes it's viewed as civil, but not enough).

We don't need to be protected from ourselves. Multibillion dollar companies don't need the government to protect them.. they can do it themselves. If companies are concerned about piracy let them develop better anti-piracy methods to protect their product. The government just wants a tool to control the internet more because as it stands they can only do so much

  16. I think the cameras have been there all along :(

  17. Move to Europe, no..not the UK, i mean it's better than the US like corrupt cops and shit wise but maybe go exiting like France or something, just leave the darn USA
