1 striker and 1 midfielder is fine. Adding a 2nd midfielder isn't normally good, as I understand it, because it's not like 2 are going to do great. One will and the other won't. While having 2 players from different teams give you a much higher percentage of them both doing well. Normally you'd take the mid fielder who has more of a chance to score. Is he normally a scorer or assister? Does he get very few cards? Does he take any set pieces (corner, free kick, etc)? Also if you have players from different teams you can rotate them in and out. Say Man U has a fairly easy home game while Man City is away. If you have one midfielder from each you can rotate them in and out. Just some thoughts from my reading etc.

I've been extremely average lately and been slowly dropping in my other leagues. This past week I had 2 10 pointers on the bench and barely 10 points between 5 players I had in the lineup.
