Think about that for a min . You want your fan cfm lower than your filter cfm . The fan is doing the work . Don't make it work harder .
You can if you push into it instead of pulling through it. And if you need to slow the air down a bit, you could put a bend in your ducting to your filter which will also slow it down as well.
