when setting up an exhaust fan are you supposed to suck air through the light or blow air through ? The fan can go an either side ? Where would the carbon filter go?
The answer is any. Largely it depends on the equipment. Some fans can be used to push or pull air and some are best used only one. the same is true of filters. some are designed for intake and some for exhaust and some can be used either. what equip are using or thinking about using?
most applications you will see have the fan sucking out from the lights to exhaust the hot air directly from the source. From there, you can run flexible ducting to direct the exhaust air through a carbon scrubber and out of the box.
