But if your view of the "end of the world" is human kind dying off to be replaced by either... absolutely nothing and the world goes on without us and slowly repairs itself from our damages or a new species will rise up after we are gone and "rule". Nuclear war would fuck us over pretty good, if the war is big enough. It would still not be the official end though, even though there would probably be no/little life. The earth will still revolve around the sun.
