What a little cunt, hell it sounds like if he played ball he may have even been able to score a position in some way or another working for one of Elon's companies. Maybe that's a stretch but the article says "if he shut down the account and offered info to make his planes less trackable", given that hackers have gotten security jobs it's very possible. Especially since it would make Elon look cool, which he likes to do.

i cannot lie about how much money people spend to keep their plane not to be tracked by flight aware. the sad part is even with a listed plane under a call sign or hidden tail number, there is another service you can pay for that allows all tail numbers to be tracked. so it dont really matter.
only real way to not be tracked by any of this and remain "under the radar" is to pay an on demand fight company, fly commercial, or fly a plane under 250kts under controlled air space while not flying IFR, need to be VFR the whole time under 12.5 MSL. if you go any higher than that your in controlled air space and busting speed will get you popped too. further more with ADSB in and out, any ass hole with half a mind and a raspberry PI, can fire one up in their house and track most planes in the area. if you put an antenna on the side of the house you can reach where ever.
Re Reg your cart in a shithole as a 90 day tourist log only VFR ( u can still go IFR file by rt at the holding pt.) avoid using the transponder unless requested then file a U/S (or pull the wire out) In Musk's situation he be better swapping planes every 60-90 days a confident pilot don't need to be tracked
