Electrical questions

  1. Ok if I ran a 585 true watt light (Voltage: AC85-260) a carbon filter incline fan and all the other running equipment etc. How do I go about doing this safely and properly I'm very uneducated when it comes to electrical wiring.

  2. You need to know how much amperage each electrical item pulls.
Add the amperage up and that will tell you how many breakers or circuits you will use.
I would recommend running your lighting on a separate circuit than your inline fan but isn't necessary if you are below 15 amps total.

  3. Each component of the setup (electrical) has a draw of so many amps. You are not supposed to go over that number with all the things you have connected on that circuit. So add up the amps you have on each circuit to prevent electrical overload. Actually, the NEC (National Electrical Code) suggests not loading one over 75-80% capacity. You have to know every electrical item on each circuit in addition to anything you add to it. TWW
