I have an ebb and flow and the plants are just 4" tall or so and i was worried bout light on the roots so at the moment i had pond pebbles that i filled the bed half way up to rockwool then add the hydroton pebbles to the top. The question is will the pond pebbles affect me in anyway or will it be alright with them? p.s pond pebbles didnt come from pond haha
Did you clean them before you put them in? They could affect your water, like ph, if they arn't clean enough, not to forget about bacteria.
I didn't but I went to my local hydro store and they said shouldn't mess with anything other than ph. I also have rock wool covers over each one of them. They're about 2 1/2 weeks into veg. But so far they look fine and ph hasn't jumped much. Any other pointers for this ebb and flow?
