IRS shows up at a company and audits its books to make sure its employees are being treated fairly. The fed agent looks through and finds everything to be on the up and up...except for one person. That one person has to work 365 days a year on call 24 hrs a day works holidays weekends sometimes for free or even at a loss of revenue. The IRS agent asks why this one employee is singled out and treated unfairly and demands they be treated better. That's when its explained that the person in question is the owner. Over the last 15 years my motel has been doin very well. All of my 80 employees at the time were started out at 8 dollars a hr minimum. I've giving personal NO interest loans to them for cars, homes, medical bills, weddings, rent etc. Now that the economy has turned especially in the travel industries I've cut my employees down to 37. I have not been paid in 4 months. When all of my employees have never missed a check. It's painfully obvious to me that none of you have EVER ran a business and had to make pay roll. This guy that robbed this bank is a dense sorry excuse for a man.

  4. Don't worry, I'm sure if you allow Obama 4 more years he'll fix it up ASAP.

  6. ^^Umm angry much?

It actually is kinda smart, but a couple years in prison with all the shit that goes on in there, I don't think any medical treatment is worth that.

But above all else I guess it was a good publicity stunt

  7. Damn scum trying to get better, how dare he!

  8. Countries with single payer systems:

    Norway
    Japan
    United Kingdom
    Sweden
    Canada
    Finland
    Italy
    Portugal
    Spain

    Damn communist regimes!

  9. taxes r evul!

  10. Theft is awesome!

People shouldn't have to pay for goods and services!

  11. If he's paid tax why shouldn't he use services tax pays for?

  12. ^ he pays taxes too. or would if he didn't have to get care in jail
    edit: to arronman

  13. Without so many regulations and more competition; there would be a rise in demand for labor.

Wages would be negotiated by employees/employers and demand for labor in general.

If someone doesn't want to work a 'shit wage' they don't have to, If, however, they're not very skilled at all then, a low paying job offers the opportunity to gain experience and become skilled. Thus, a chance of getting a better paying job.

In a free(d) market people have more opportunities of gaining experience and getting payed more as a result.

prices are low also as a result of competition.

  14. yeah those are single PAYER systems.

  15. So you're saying the homeless or people that can't find jobs should just be thrown out on the streets and refused medical care?

    That's horrible...

  16. That's fucked.

  19. "If you need something or want something or demand something, that does not give you a 'right' to it" -Ron Paul

Imagine no income tax. Imagine actual competition in the health insurance industry. Imagine a deregulated healthcare industry. In such a world, people could actually afford care without crying in the streets, that they need the govt to take care of them.

Why would anyone want a product from the epic failure, which is the US Government? I'll never get over that.

  20. I don't think you're familiar with the UK health care system...
That's what support, it works. Until the Tories dissect it and less it to the highest bidder anyway.

Besides I think you missed the point of my post (or you're just throwing out a straw man), you called it theft but I was asking how it's theft if he's paid tax? I never said people who don't pay tax or have jobs should be public refused care because i'm not a libertarian....
