I got a 6" hood and 4" fan/filter setup, so I bought myself a 6-4" ducting reducer, but the damn thing is the same size as the port for my inline fan, so my Question is as I have ready a few others with this problem and have a few ideas of how to fix it but they seem harder than my idea, I have yet to see anyone ask, If I was to simply use a 6" Flexible aluminum duct, and then tightened it a bunch with a ring/clamp w/e they are called, so it fit snug over the top of my fan, then used some foil tape to seal up anything else, would that work?

  2. Usually those reducers are for the ducting. So get ur 6 in ducting attached to the 6 fan outlet, then place ur reducer on the duct which makes it so u can the add the 4 in duct.

  3. gorilla duct tape. That shit is awesome. I have a 6" inline fan, but my carbon filter has a 4" flange. Its held up for almost a year now.
