I need to purchase reflectors that are air coolable but i was wondering should I order them with a 6" or an 8" inline for the ducting. and what voltage and cfm should i be looking for when i need to buy a squirrel fan for either the 6 or 8 inch.
I'm running a 1000W MH for my veg cycle right now. I'm using a 6" air cooled hood connected to a 6" 270cfm inline fan, I believe it's 72W. I have the fan hooked up to a fan speed controller so I can control the amount of airflow and the fact that I can turn it down when I have company over (the fan gets pretty loud on full speed). This works well for me and keeps my grow area at around 75F. If I were to do it again I'd probably spend the extra 20-30 bucks and get a slightly more powerful fan, something around 400cfm for a bit more airflow for those hot days. Hope this helps
Thanks you think a 400cfm fan can move air from 5-6 hoods? or do i need to use more then one fan or a more powerful fan.
what size space are you working in? how many watts are you trying to slip under the lectric co's nose? 2 maybe 3 400cfm fans could vent that those hoods
