drooping leaves - please help!!

  1. hey guys-

This is my first plant, so it's a learning experience. Things seemed to be going well, however all of the leaves were drooping instead of being "perky" as you would normally see. I searched around the forum, and saw that over-watering could cause this. I had been watering rather frequently, so i stopped for about a day and a half, and the plant just got worse. Before that I had been watering every day, keeping the soil hydrated at all times. Does anyone know what this could be caused by? Here is the plant before I didn't water her for a little while.

The bottom set of leaves are now rather yellow after not watering it for a while. I flushed her today, so hopefully it gets back to where she used to be.

Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks guys.

  2. yes you are overwatering....a plant that small uses little water and its in a small pot, so a little water goes a looong way.

nitrogen is being locked out by drowning roots, let the pot dry out and 3 weeks feed it a general purpose fertilizer @ 1/3 strength

water only 2 times a week, fert every other watering
