Does strain/potency matter?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by startedat45, Feb 12, 2014.

  1. I made some oil with some Sativa dominant hybrid.  When smoked it gives a very nice sativa high.

But when made into oil and baked into brownies, it is definitely a more Indica-couchlock high.

So my question then is:  Am I wasting $ using top-shelf bud in edibles or would I be better off using mid-grade bud and just using more of it?

And does it really matter if it is Sativa or Indica dominant strain?  Can you get a Sativa high with edibles?

  2. your very limited experience is not a basis to ignore numerous reports and analysis from others over the decades.

try an edible made from an indica...it has a stronger body high.

  3. I did a google search and the results were less than clear.

But that is exactly what I was looking for.  Thanks.
