Do you believe that in 1969 only 12% of Americans supported legalizing marijuana?

  1. how could only 12% of Americans support marijuana in 1969 when hippies took over every aspect of society? Wasnt that the time of the hippies, Woodstock, and the summer of love. Everyone was a hippie, everyone agreed with the hippies, they all wanted free sex, free love, drugs and rock and roll. Hippies were crazy about pot. How could only 12% of the country want what the hippies wanted at the height of the hippie era? It doesnt make sense.

    Could anyone explain this paradox?

  2. because NOT everyone was a hippy? herpaderp

having read the whole op i dont think you know much about the 60s lol

  3. Where did you get these facts from?

  4. because it was mainly kids and young adults? all of the adults were in the reefer madness era i believe.

that too ^^^ not everyone was a hippy

  5. They didn't call hippies the counter culture because they were mainstream, kid.
