Do I absolutely need to use a fan? and if I do, should I use one before the seeds have sprouted through the soil? Please Help if you can.
Well.. No.. you don't "need" a fan, but if you don't use one, be prepared to use a lot of ties and supports for your plant. If it doesn't get any wind, it wont develop a strong stalk and it WILL collapse under the weight of the leaves/buds. You should start using a fan just after the seedling comes through the soil and is an inch or two tall. In my experience anyways. No reason to run a fan before its sprouted though. I recommend a really small desk fan or something.. they are like $5 and work! ~Experimentalist
