DIY CO2 Generator question

    I notice most people use a clear soda bottle. Can I use a white plastic jug or does it have to be clear and "missle" shaped to work.

    (Thinking of making a 5 gal bucket one (white plastic-not see through)

    Color or clear makes no difference when all you are doing is generating CO2.

    I believe yeast would actually be happier in the dark. Being a fungus, yeast has no use for light.

    Is this a DIY method, if so, drop me some details as I would like an inexpensive way to add some CO2 to my room.

    My room is rather large, 10x12x8, or 960 cubic feet.

    what is this DIY co2 gen..? sounds intreasting... would putting dry ice in water do the same thing? dry ice is only like 5 bucks for 10lbs
