  1. Has anyone tried to manufacture this?

Basically they are Peltier Thermoelectric Cooling Boards TEC1 12706 with heatsinks and fans on the sides (one side gives heat and the other cold)

  2. I've played with those. They do get very cold on one side. But their total cooling capacity is weak. And they draw a lot of power. I live in the Nevada desert and came up with a solution that worked for me. I made an evaporative cooler out of a 5 gallon bucket. Keeps the temps down and the humidity up.
