The small leaves around the bud sites on all of my plants have started to turn dark and become twisted. The large leaves are not at all affected. I'm using the Lucas Formula, so this *shouldn't* be a nute use (but I'm not rulling that out). I just discovered this morning that the res temps are too high, so maybe that's the issue. Grow Details - DWC Drip Feed Hydro system Lucas Formula - GH based nutes - flowering profile - 920ppm pH - 5.6 and stable 6 - 42w "soft-white" CFL's over each plant; 2 - 26w "soft-white" CFL's in front Room Temp - 84 average; 88 high; 79 low Res Temps - 82 Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
you may not have seen my reply to this already at the other thread Nitrogen toxicity pic # 2 shows clearly, leaf margins are drooping while the tips are curling, heat does not make the new growth so dark green but nitrogen does, additionally heat does not make a plants leaves curl down they curl upwards to conserve transpiration lots of photo examples at my site ....look in fert burn sections & Miracle Grow sections
You might be feeding it too strong for the CFL's, but the Lucas formula is low in nitrogen anyways... Very strange... I would ask Lucas about that one!
Yeah, I saw. And as always, thanks for the help. I think it's safe to say that you've identified the "what", now I've got to figure out the "why". Mr. Goodstuff's suggestion of asking Lucas is a pretty good idea. I've just got to find the link. I know I have it on my computer at home, but I don't have it here on my laptop.
