    Time to vote...

  3. hell yea i would buy one... i like the joint with the colored smoke... but the sad thing is i dont have money ... :(

  4. digit there are a couple of them that i would definatly want, you said they would run around a 1/4 of primo bud, hows about a trade. yeah i know, i am broke. but seriously some of those would be absloutely badass wall hangings. if i could afford it i would definatly buy one.

  5. hey digit... i have the font you're looking for... i'll post it on the net so you can DL it... i'll be back with the link in a little...

EDIT: i can't figure out how to get it onto geocities as of right now... for some reason it won't upload the font to the server, and geocities won't let me upload .zip files... i'll keep trying though.

  6. thnx cottons, u could email it to me digit@graphic-designer.com you'll be my hero for life! :)

hey people... enough of the sad faces... i've been livin in poverty for a while too, i know what its like to barely have enough money for food let alone some cool wall hangings (nice on budstuffa, i'm stealing that term)... so that's why you'll b able to download em all as desktop backgrounds (probably gonna b 800x600) from the website... eventually. it's still one step at a time.

  7. Digit...check your PM box...there's the link for that font :)

  8. Digit, what would I have to do to host some of my art on wastedartist.com (if that ever comes to fruition)? I'm a cartoonist but I occasionally slop over into the abstract, I guess it depends on what your intentions are. I don't really want to make money as much as have my art someplace people will see it. btw, what do you use to create these pictures? I have a little photoshop experience but I couldn't do anything like that, I especially like the one with the cards and the crazy one with the blue blobby guy, he reminds me of a boss from yoshi's adventure on snes

  9. exactly what i thought, what a great game that is too.

  10. thnx hempress. got the font everyone. :)

krazi, what you'd have to do is uh.... i havn't really thought about it that much... umm, send me some artwork i guess. as long as your not in any rush to have your artwork displayed there, because i do have quite a bit of work to do and have commitments to get the other artists work displayed there. keep in touch and we can talk about it a bit more.

heehee. yeah everyone says that about blob guy. i cannot deny that yoshis island was ehere the inspiration came from.

i've used bryce and photoshop mainly. but i think theres a little softimage, amapi studio and a few others been used in some of them too. I've been an artist since i was a baby and been using digital tools for over a third of my life (over 7 years).

  11. Digit let us all know when we can purchase any of these, I really like more than a few but I would want one that is a meter x meter...a big fat one made of hemp would be awesome! Don't ever give up, you've got the talent for it and more than enough people here think so.

  12. of course i'll let jas know. jah think i'd leave the blades outta the loop!!??? yer all more in the loop than even the other artists!

the sites workin!!!! mostly anyways. still loadsa gaps and duff links etc, the usual teething problems, but if u wanna see all the pics i have loaded them all in the last section within my gallery. the eclectic mobile one.

not sure if the little forum bit is workin, not my fault if it isnt.

so get my hits up , go visit! hehe. :)

  13. You gonna post the addy?

  14. nooooooooooooooooooooo! why won't they load!? why won't they load?

starting the long laborious process of uploading all teh artwork only to find that they simply aint loading, could it b a caching problem? is there an extra slash there or something? why is this doing this to me why oh why!

edit: ok, much restructurig going on. it doesna wanna load em like that so i'll load em like this.... hope this works or this will be the most pointless 2 hours of my life!

  15. Well at least I got to sign the guest book.

  16. what you using to host your site ??? i need to put my one up sometime. cost as well, if at all possible i want a non free decent one.

  17. word of advice. dont go with easyspace. hidden costs galore. they'll plaster your site with ad banners and it will cost u more than what youd be paying to get rid of them. and they charged me £100 just to have some guy in the office click his mouse to recconect the DNS link. WANKERS! and they are incompetent. i think they've hired a bunch of 13 and 14 year olds.

check out calico uk's prices... not sure about them but i think they're ok.

theres loads of hosting providers out there... just look around and stay clear of easyspace.

anyways.... i've started puttin up some other artists work.

still a long way to go. havn't even got the desktop backgrounds uploaded yet. and there's definately not enough requests in the guestbook for the hempy digital prints for me to go to the financial peeps asking for 6k for my printer etc.

here's where the new artwork is in the site (i know how lazy u all are, if there's not a link to it u just wont go) heehee.

    http://www.wastedartist.com/gallery_rognvaldleslie_atom.htm

mooglekexin, i'll speak to ya sometime about... stuff. ;)

  18. Although it will probably be a month before i can really start taking orders for prints and originals .....

Below is a draft copy of what i'll be sayin to all prospective artists. + a few bits i edited specially for the blades.
    ===========================================
    Artists checklist.

Each artist's work is displayed in their own gallery section, managed by wastedartist.com
Contact digit@graphic-designer.com (or any other form of communication known) if any aspect of the display does not meet the standards expected by the artist.

Wasted artist will not make any attempts to censor any of the artists, unless it contains material of a child pornography nature. Other than this, wastedartist.com actually encourages controversy. -- caaaannnnnaaaabbbbiiiissssss

All sales generate a 20%* return to wastedartist for web management, publicity, p&p and any other costs (except printing materials or other raw materials used in reproduced artwork). Artist's should structure this into their own pricing strategy.

*cheaper than most galleries which normally charge 33% or there abouts. and most galleries don't cover the globe.

    WHAT ALL ARTIST'S NEED

A Name. doesn't need to be your real name for display purposes, but we will need to know your real name if you want to sell your artwork (when we can)

All artist's require a breif one or two sentence rough outline of their style of work or background. should be no longer than 25 words.
if this is not provided wastedartist.com will make up something for you.

All artist's require an introductory passage to their artwork to be displayed at the top of each gallery genre. can be from 1 word to a 2000 word essay on history, influences, etc etc.
if this is not provided wastedartist.com will make up something for you.

artists can seperate their work into different genres. give each genre a title and a 200x200 pixel image will be requested for each one (this will most commonly be a small cutout of one of the images in that genre). genres are specific to each artist, ie. if two artists had a genre entitled "surrealism" each artist would have their own surrealism gallery.

VISUAL STILLS (paintings, etchings, digital creations, etc)

For artwork to be displayed in single images (non audio or animation), first requirement is a jpeg 400 pixels wide. height is unimportant. Wasted Artist will be displayed across the middle of the image. this will act as a preview image and, should the artist wish so, can be a link to a page containing a desktop-background image (highest quality jpeg) at a resolution of 800x600 or, if the artist wishes, a higher resolution. a low quality, breif repeating audio file can be played on the page, either proided by the artist or one can be requested from wastedartist.com

    CARTOON

For 3 celled cartoons, a 400x400 animated gif is required, with no more than 32 colours per frame. a 4th frame can be added for either title, "the end", or signature frame. This can be formated for the artist if a high enough resolution/quality scan is provided. a low quality, breif repeating audio file can be played on the page, either proided by the artist or one can be requested from wastedartist.com

for cartoons longer than 3 frames format of dispaly to be discussed between wastedartist.com & the artist.

    AUDIO

Any music given freely to the wastedartist audience must be of a low quality-high compression. Artists may wish to play some music on their gallery, these files must be relatively short and high compression .wav preferably.

    ANIMATION

unfortunately we do not currently have the bandwidth or hosting space to provide artist's with an outlet for animaiton. This is on our list of wants though.

Basically all i need is the artwork. exact formatting can be done this end to suit the websites needs.
(have sympathy on me though as theres only 1 of me to handle the workload)

    Also.
Each artist can provide a breif list of websites on which we will seek advertising space. Please choose sites that would seem to have a similar audience to your own.

  19. those are cool but not pay for it cool:)
