I am looking to buy a Digital PH tester and have found quite a few of them from a reputable brand name for a reasonable price on E-Bay. Heres the Hitch, they are designed for pool/spa purposes. My question is would they work for horticulture? I cant see how my run off water from a plant is much different from water in a pool in the Eyes of the Almighty PH.
I just got a water proof one from ebay, it makes no difference what it was intended for PH is PH no matter the solution. Peace
Just make sure you get a pen pH tester, and not a truncheon. Truncheons are huge, and if you try to use one for a runoff test... well, you'll need an awful lot of runoff.
This one has been great for me. I got it on eBay with shipping for $42. Make sure you get the calibration fluids. Mine was off a tiny bit when I got it. I also had to recalibrate it after the 6th use or so. http://hannainst.com/usa/prods2.cfm?id=002003&ProdCode=HI 98103
