did I do something wrong? (hash making)

    Somebody donated me an oz of trimmings.. mostly leaves a few stems.
    So I decided to try and make ISO hash out of it.
    I only shook it for 30 sec, then strained it, it was not yellowish but greenish in color.
    After evaporating (partly with a blowdryer), the product is about the consistancy of chewing gum, a bit harder though.

    Here is what I ended up with:

    Non-oily, yet sticky dark substance:

    well I guess I didn't do anything wrong. I smoked a BB sized chunk of it, got me pretty toasted.

    If you didn't freeze your trim you may have leached a bit more chlorophyll than you would have if you did. This can make the hash a harsher smoke than it would have been otherwise. It's all a matter of how much purity you want to go for.

    yeah, it looks like a batch with alot of chlorophyll, as steve stated.

    Also, next time you might try letting it dry out a bit more before you scrape it.

    try sticking the batch you have in the fridge if its still that gooey, it should harden it up a bit and make it so it doesnt stick to you every time you touch it.

    yeah, hopefully next time I can make it more pure. this stuff is strong, but nasty like resin.

    I don't know what you're smoking but the stuff you just made tastes nothing like nasty resin. The consistancy is kinda the same, but stickier and it definitely tastes better than shit. :D

    (The first time i made it I got the same thing you did and i was still surprised with the taste.)
