I don't think so. This is for pest control and you sprinkle it on top of the soil. You're looking for glacial rock dust. Edit-I could be wrong though. They are both high in silica. The thing I don't like about diatomaceous earth is that it's not a renewable recourse. It's fossilized shellfish that are mined from the earth. I believe this kind of practice is more damaging to the earth than the using glacial rock dust. Since we are organic, I like to go for the most planet friendly options when I can. But I'm still learning.
yeah, i found a cheap source for it was wondering if it is worth going after. i'm still trying to get some rock dust. i might have to mail order if since i don't want to drive an hour north to pick some up.
DE will not replace rock dust but you won't need to use much pro-tek. Fifty pound sack of food grade DE is like twenty three bucks at the feed store.
