Detroit Votes to Legalize Medicinal Marijuana

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by BlueBowlin, Aug 4, 2004.

  1. Very happy for my city :) Just tonight the proposal for Medicinal Marijuana for Detroit has been approved by the voting populus. Already the prosecutor, among others, are swearing they will get the proposal overturned and call it "a smoke screen and excuse to get high"

Here is a short article about it:

  2. congrats. After reading the article it seems like a lot of people are pissed though. Detroit has a really bad crack problem, perhaps they should focus their efforts on a dangerous drug rather than weed? How do they expect to stop marijuana use when they have one of the worst crack problems in the nation?

  3. thats the thing, MJ is to blame,
"But opponents said it was a smoke screen to bring more drugs onto the streets ..."
they are the ones behind the smoke screen. grrrr.
