So I got a new camera from my gf for xmas thought what better way to break it in other than some bud porn. Also wondering how well my plant is doing since this is still my first plant. And 2 of the leaves are a dark purple with the stems showing redish purple as far as a i know this is a phosphorus deficiency. I gave it 2 table spoons of tiger bloom today i had been previously only been using big bloom and thought that would be enough P but i guess not. Any how on with the pictures. O and give me some feedback!
If the def have been too longit can permanently change the colour of the stem, but new growth should be fine. The stem can also change colour if exposed to cold in some strains, purple kush among others is known to do that
The plant looks good in my opinion. Red stems going to to the leaves is fairly common. If the colas are redish then I'd worry more about P being needed. I saw somw burn marks on other leaves though...has it been burned by the lights? I read that red/purple stems can be early stage of heat stress but Im not sure. She looks good though.
yes unfortunately there was some heat stress the AC in my place got shutdown while i was gone and didnt know and it was hot those few days so there was some heat stress.
I would be sure that its P deficiency first before upping the dose. Dont wanna make the situation worse by burning her. Here's a chart that another grower here hooked me up with that you can use. Im not saying one way or the other because in honesty I dont know much...but for what its worth, I would approach it cautiously so as not go over board trying to fix something that might not be broken.
Just wanted to let you guys know that it was a P deficiency and 3 days after i gave her a good dosing of P the buds have really gotten big! Ill update with more pix soon
anymore updates on your plants as im growing this myself and mine had redrish stems and was woundering was this normal mine are 5 weeks old and under mh bulb so u think i should give them p
