Creek Water?

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by gdaddypurp21, Feb 21, 2010.

  1. I live on a creek that connects a lake to another creek w/ springs. I was wondering, and it may be stupid to ask, but would this be a viable source of water to nourish my plants and use in my teas. It seems to me it would be the best source for organics considering the natural ecosystem in the creek and all the microbes already in the water. To narrow down my question: Would the microbes in the water and the natural decomposition upset the balance of microbes in my soil, or just the opposite be more beneficial? Would appreciate any advice GC can offer before I start brewing away... Thanks

  2. Here is a useful link that describes the water quality of various different types of water and their relationship to compost teas. It is actually published by a tea brewer company.

IMO.....you're good to go with your creek water. I know some growers that would kill for that kind of water source.

Welcome to GC's organic's forum and keep us posted on your grow.

    Take care,
