I don't think that it will happen. To many anti-government groups would start a world-wide revolt and It would not end well. Not to mention the HUGE task of trying to do this. How long has the US government tried to shut down all the P2P networks, Too long, and the only real progress that they have made is shutting down limewire. (which is still up if you know where to look.) I just don't see it happening.
I wouldn't worry about it, homeboy. I mean, lets examine this rationally. GrassCity is exactly the kind of free speech clearly protected by the First Amendment. Assuming Congress did get off their fat asses and actually got around to doing something. It has yet to be seen what direction they will take. My guess is they will go after on line porn and gambling, essentially vice. Stuff they can tax. But we shall see. I think GC is safe.
my god...no....NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! ANYTHING BUT THE PORN!! and gc i guess... (but mainly the pr0n...) EDIT: My 200th post is about porn.... seems fitting lol

They might not be able to take GC down but they can restrict access to it. That's irrelevant because this bill (assuming we're talking about the latest one, SOPA) is aimed at copyrighted media. Then again, if a bill like that passes, it's only a matter of time before they start regulating everything on the internet including discussing illegal drugs.
i dont think they can restrict access to it. from what i've read, all this bill is going to do is prevent people from hosting piracy sites in the US. it didnt say anything about accessing the site. [unless i missed it, which i might have. feel free to point that section out if i did =P ] "Then again, if a bill like that passes, it's only a matter of time before they start regulating everything on the internet including discussing illegal drugs." that much i do agree with, unfortunately. all theyll do is call up another bill...and one involving prohibiting people from discussing illegal activities, such as smoking marijuana, will probably pass a lot easier.
