i need a little help, my internet on my other computer didnt work for about two weeks. i tried everything to fix it. eventually, i found out that two chords in my router had been switched... problem solved. anyways about two hours after this, i downloaded some updates windows said i needed, and updated my antivirus software. after that, the internet continued to work for programs like MSN Messenger, but i could no longer log onto any websites, i just got an error page. any ideas as to what could be the problem now?
After you updated both the anti-virus and Windows it could be that IE (if that's what you're using) changed versions and you need to allow it access to the internet. Technically this is a firewall problem but might as well see if it works. If not, I dunno. You could try opening IE, going to Tools\Internet Options\Security and making sure you're still in the "Internet" zone. If I think of anything else I'll post again.
