so recently my laptop started fuckin up. for about a week now it cant play youtube vids without lagging, then last night my system completely froze multiple times and crashed(blue screen) twice when i tried watching videos, this happened in multiple players. i have run memory diagnostic test(no errors), scanned for spyware/adware/virus, cleaned registry, used core temp, upgrades my BIOS, etc. i dont know what else to do, i feel like im fucked. not sure if my specs are needed but here they are can anyone help? Edit: i have 2g RAM
The satellite series is notorious for problems like this. If I knew how to help you, I would. I can tell you, though, to not upgrade your BIOS unless it's absolutely necessary. I've seen satellite eat themselves inside out because of bad BIOS updates. *shakes fist at Toshiba* A tip: your laptop may bsod if you unplug it or plug it in while it's powered off. Depends in the model and I don't remember which model it was.
try writing down the BSOD error code. Could be driver conflict...could be a whole bunch of shit...so the error code would be a good place to start.
idk the bsod code, i did use the backup reg from ccleaner. that didnt work, so i updated directx and tried to update my sound/video card but it was up to date. i havent tried playing another video cuz i have shit to do.
The bsod error code would definitely help isolate the problem. Next time you get the bsod write down the error code. It usually starts with 0x0********
