College is the new highschool! Make sure you do something, technical, JUCO, something. I don't think it should be thought of as a way to get a job, but more of a way to learn how to think, analyze and transmit information more thoroughly and effectively. So go to college, stay in school, do weed!
I personally attended a community college what you may call a tech school. I earned my Associates in Electrical Technology, the program gave me the tools to succeed in my field and the know how! I work as an electrician, the program taught me ALOT such as bending conduit, threading rigid and IMC conduit, how to wire switches etc while following the National Electrical Code.
