Was wondering why everywhere i look all i see people using are the 3k and 4k veros and 3070s. Wouldnt it be more benneficial to use two 5k vero29s and one 2700k vero29? Getting great red partial deep red and and ton of blue??

  2. Same here, doing research on a DIY LED.

and noticed 3k CXAs and 2.7k vero with 5k  would be the best spectrum to use. maybe it has to do with the price of lumen flux?

If only the 6500k CXAs would be readily available :(

  3. I figure two 5k would negate the long stretch effects of the one 2.7k and the 2.7 would help drastically at flower, cab someone shed some light as to why everyone is staying away from the 5k?

  4. I think from Cree only the 3000K are available no 2700Ks

  5. Bridgelux Vero 29 2700, has been shown to produce a good amount of far red

  6. Seriously nobody?...

  7. apparently not... :(

Grasscity is still a bit shy on DIY LEDs I think... Kind of understandable since even in DIY this solution will cost many hundred dollars!

  8. Not any more than a hid setup...my point here is led, hid, and cfl should all use the same color temp for veg or flower but for some reason people are using in between lights for both...grasscity seems to have gone downhill since I was last active
