co2 alternative?

    ok i know the use of CO2 is more or less a "steroid" when growing. nonetheless i have no desire to get a huge tank of it to use. is there an alternative? ive heard of "bubbly water" but i dont quite understand it. and if so, what exactly can be a equal alternative? and where could i find it?
