CNN's GOP debate - National Security

  1. Did anyone else watch this tonight? I'm really tired of politicians playing the fear tactics game. They spoke a lot about hezbollah and al-qaeda occupying countries in central and south america and talking the possibilities of nukes. It automatically made me picture in my head what would happen if such a thing happened and in instilled fear and anxiety. Then I realized, wow they just totally got me with fear tactics into thinking we need to live in a police state for a brief second.

Dr. Paul is right. We need to stop over reacting and stop attacking other countries. Who are we to just go attack someone on concerns? I really want to step away from the police state we are becoming and really become a less ignorant country. We've been divided by politics and corporations. We believe most things our government tells us, and our government has made us weak. They don't vote on bills or issues the American people truly want. They are more and more taking away our rights as human beings.

The debate was pretty good although Gary Johnson once again wasn't invited which is bullshit. My personal opinion is Ron Paul won this debate, and I think Rick Santorum had some good responses.

Here is some of the highlights

  5. I was looking for something like this. I thought his treatment was much better in this debate than the last one. The last one(89 seconds) was just an outrage.

  7. Soldierof420, great post. I never really thought about looking up the time each candidate had to speak. I did notice Cain not really given the talking time the others got. One thing that pissed me off was Mitt Romey's whiney "If they get to respond then I get to respond". I mean who is running the debate Romney or Wolf? I also noticed how Ron Paul got more applauds than any other candidate.
